- Independent Bookstore Day: Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day by stopping in The Astoria Bookstop on 31-29 31st Street. There will be a lot of fun activities, including storytimes, literary trivia happy hour, book themed cocktails, and for the kids, butterbeer and a cardboard Hogwarts castle fort. You can receive double loyalty points the whole day, visit our book prescription booth, and take part in a bookstore crawl across Queens and Brooklyn. The event takes place on Saturday, April 27th!
- Monet Bridge Paint and Sip: You can create your own Monet-inspired masterpiece at The Paint Place on Saturday, April 27th from 1pm until 3pm. The cost is $45, which includes your supplies. The event is BYOB and participants must be 18 and older. They will guide you through every step of painting your picture, ensuring you leave with a wonderful painting you’ll be proud to hang on your wall at home!
- The Happy Hour After Work Party: Ring in the weekend with The Happy Hour After Work Party at Doha Nightclub from Friday, April 26th at 5pm until 4am on Saturday, April 27th. There will be music, drink specials, and more. The club is located at 38-34 31st Street.
- Adriatic Jewelry Showroom: Enjoy the grand opening of the latest Astoria small business, Adriatic Jewelry! You can see hand forged gold and silver jewelry, and discuss custom designs. The grand opening event is on Friday, April 26th from 8pm until 10pm. The business is located at 2853 46th Street.
