Question: What if I crack or chip a tooth?
Answer: We often repair minor damage in one visit with cosmetic dentistry. Dental bonding involves applying a composite material to the teeth in several layers. The material is metal-free and created using the same composite resin we employ for our tooth-colored fillings. Which means we can shade the material to match the color of your tooth. After placement, we shape the layers and cure the material under a light, completing the visit by polishing the teeth. Bonding not only repairs minor damage, but also masks teeth stains and helps close gaps between the teeth.
Question: My teeth are pointed, can you fix this?
Answer: Yes! Contouring can also be completed in a single visit, and involves gently buffing the tooth structure to reshape the tooth. We’ve used the procedure to dull very pointed teeth, and to also reshape a damaged or malformed tooth, and to even remove any pits or grooves in the tooth surface.
Question: Can your treatments fix my uneven teeth?
Answer: For those with misalignment, we have a barely visible alternative to metal braces. After taking detailed impressions and measurements of your smile, our team will create a series of aligners from a clear plastic material. Each aligner will be worn daily for about two weeks, before the patient moves on to the next set. Total treatment takes a about a year, and the clear aligners can be removed before you eat or brush/floss your teeth.
