Instead, we will take detailed images of your bite from multiple angles with an intraoral camera, and use these to create a detailed 3D impression of your whole bite. Experts will use these in a dental lab to design and create your aligners from a BPA-free plastic material, one that is clear in appearance. Each set in the series will help gradually shift your smile, so you can obtain an even smile in as little as one year in some cases, a much lower timeframe than braces usually require.
Straightening Your Smile
How does the treatment process work? Well, our team will provide you with your aligners and you will wear a set for about 20 to 23 hours a day on average, for about two weeks. You then begin wearing the next set in the series for the same amount of time and protect the process as you work through the series. These are also removable, so you can take them out before you eat, no need to alter your diet. This removability also means a much easier time brushing and flossing, so you can better protect your smile during treatment. We will monitor your progress with periodic visits to the office.
