In today’s blog, we’re going to take a break from discussing oral health and dental care to talk about the community. There are a number of fun events taking place this weekend in Astoria. Why not get out and see what your community has to offer?
Astoria, NY Community Events
- Improv Astoria: Improv Astoria will be having level 1 classes for beginners from now through May 8th. Improv can be a great way to meet people, have fun, and even learn to perform in front of people, which can be a great asset at your day job. The course costs $295 and classes take place at Bohemian Hall on 29-19 24th Avenue.
- Greece Paint and Sip: The Paint Place will be hosting Greece Paint and Sip on April 14th from 5pm until 7pm. Admission is $45 and includes all the supplies you need to complete your masterpiece. The event takes place at 31-21 31st Street. The class is BYOB but there will be glasses and openers available. They will walk you through each step to help you complete your painting. The class is for beginner-level painters.
- Queens Craft Brigade Spring Market: The Queens Craft Brigade Spring Market will take place at the VFW Hall (31-35 41st Street) on April 15th from noon until 5pm. Admission is free! There will be artists from the community creating new fashion, jewelry, crafts, and artwork. You can pick up unique and original homemade items and see how they are created.
