Astoria, NY Community Events
- Paint Your Pet: The Paint Place will be having a Paint Your Pet event on February 25th from 1pm until 3pm. You simply send in a photo of your pet, which will be pre-sketched onto a 16X20 canvas for you. When you come to the event, the staff will help you paint the picture. You will then leave with a custom image of your fuzzy best friend! Admission is $60 and includes canvas and supplies. One pet per canvas. The Paint Place is located at 31-21 31st Street. - The Roast of Mario: The Creek and the Cave (10-93 Jackson Avenue) will be hosting the Roast of Mario on February 23rd from 10pm until 11:30pm. Admission is $5. The event features comedians dressed as Mario’s fellow 8-bit friends, roasting the plumber about his storied career.
- Transplant Comedy Show: QED will be hosting a Transplant Comedy Show in February 24th from 7:30pm until 9pm. QED is located at 27-16 23rd Avenue. The comedy show features comedians that are not native New Yorkers talking about their experiences in the city and in their hometowns. Admission is $7 if you buy tickets online, $10 at the door.
