Community Events in Astoria, NY
- Halloween Costume Swap: On Saturday, October 7th from 9am until 1pm A Child’s Daycation will be hosting their first ever Halloween Costume Swap. Just bring an old costume (cleaned, of course) in a plastic bag with the size marked clearly on the bag. You can then choose a different costume from ones donated. The event is free and a great way to choose your kid’s costume without breaking the bank. A Child’s Daycation is located at 3124 38th Street.
- Oktoberfest: Sunnyside Gardens Park will be hosting Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 7th from noon until 5pm. Should there be rain, the event will be moved to October 8th. There will be German food, local beers, music, and more. For the kids, there will be an arts and crafts fair, a pumpkin patch, a climbing wall, and more! Admission is free and the event takes place at 48-21 39th Avenue.
- Queensboro Dance Festival: The 2017 Queensboro Dance Festival will take place from today until Saturday at The Secret Theatre. The theatre is located at 44-02 23rd Street. Tickets are $15 online or $18 at the door.
