- Bird Walk: On Saturday, April 29th you and your family enjoy a Bird Walk with New York Audubon. The event takes place at the Queens Botanical Garden (43-50 Main Street Flushing). The free nature walk will feature chances to spot and identify local birds, as well as the opportunity to learn more about them and the Queens Botanical Garden. You will need to purchase Garden admission ($6 for adults, $4 for seniors and students with ID, $2 for children ages 4 to 12, and kids three and under are free). - Peoples Climate March: The Queens Action Council will be hosting a Peoples Climate March on April 29th from 10am until 1pm in solidarity with the march on Washington DC. Participants can raise awareness of the dangers of climate change and learn tips from experts for maintaining a greener lifestyle and protecting the environment.
- Queens Literary Festival: On Saturday April 29th and Sunday April 30th you can attend the 3rd annual Queens Literary Festival at the LIC Landing. There will be musical performances, reading series, two open mic portions, and over 100 Queens-based poets and writers. The event is free!
