Each month, we like to take time in our blog to highlight fun events taking place in our community. There is so much for you and friends or family to see and do in Astoria. In addition, we want to remind our patients that we’re available for their first appointments of 2017, whether they need checkups and cleanings or cosmetic dental treatments in time for Valentine’s Day.
Community Events
- Stitchin’ Queens: The Stitchin’ Queens bi weekly meeting will take place on January 25th from 6:30pm until 8:30pm at Panera Bread on 38-01 35th Avenue. Currently looking for new members, the group includes knitters, crocheters, and people who use needlepoint. You can visit, learn new skills, and enjoy some good food. - Skimming the Surface: Green Space will be hosting an expressive movement workshop called Skimming The Surface on February 6th at 6pm and again on Aril 3rd at 8pm. The Green Space is located at 37-24th St. #301 in Long Island City. You can call 718-956-3037 for more details. The sessions will involve somatic based expressive movement and is instructed by Valerie Green. Admission is five classes for $110 or drop ins for $25. You can RSVP by emailing [email protected].
- Press Conference Comedy Show: QED Astoria will be hosing the Press Conference Comedy Show on February 9th from 7:30pm until 9pm at 27-16 23rd Avenue.
