Upcoming Astoria, NY Events
Saw Her Stand Up There: On May 5th QED will be hosting “Saw Her Stand Up There”, a showcase of talented female stand up comics. The show runs from 7:30pm until 9:00pm and admission is $6. The is also a raffle to win a $15 gift card to Buffalo Exchange. Admission is free to open mic sign ups. To sign up for an open mic spot, show up at 7pm the Wednesday before the show.
Children’s Storytime: The Brass Owl is hosting a Children’s Storytime on May 6th from 10am until 11am. Admission is free and creative educator Gina Verdi will be reading the stories. All ages are welcome. You can call 347-848-0905 or email [email protected] for more information.
Pop-Up Shop: You can check out The Brass Owl’s pop-up shop, featuring products from three Astoria-based businesses. This is a perfect chance to find a unique Mother’s Day gift. Nerd is the New Black: Charles McBee will be hosting an evening of stand-up ate the QED on May 7th from 7pm until 9pm. Admission is $5 and the event features several well-known and hilarious comedians.
Mother’s Day Party: The Brass Owl will be hosting a Mother’s Day party on May 8th from 11am until 8pm. Moms get 10% off on all purchases and there will be a free candy bar (compliments of No Fork) and free mimosas. There is no admission cost.
