Astoria Flea Market: St. Joseph’s School will be hosting a flea market on April 9th from 9am until 5pm. The event takes place at 44th between 28th and 30th Avenue in the school auditorium. The market will consist of 50 tables with new and old items for sale. This event will also be a fundraiser for the school. Find cool gifts for you or your friends and family.
Beer Tour: At Ditmars Boulevard on April 9th from 4pm until 7pm you can enjoy the Bestest’s Beer Tour. A guided tour of New York’s nest beer will take place at three locations. There will be tastings, food, prizes, and even cards and pencils for taking notes. The entire tour takes about three hours. You can find more information and purchase tickets at www.thebestest.nyc.
Regina Carter’s Southern Comfort: The Brooklyn Center for Performing Arts will be hosting Regina Carter’s Southern Comfort on April 16th from 8pm until 10pm. The violinist and MacArthur fellow will be performing a show drawing from her family and childhood experiences in Alabama. Tickets are $35. Brandon Knows Nothing: The Rockaway Brewery at 46-01 5th Street in Long Island City will be hosting comedian Brandon Collins on April 14th from 7pm until 9pm. The set is free and will feature a number of other talented comedians as well.
