We like to dedicate a couple blogs each month to highlighting fun events taking place in Astoria. This weekend, there are a number of fun events taking place, from Easter Egg hunts to Improv comedy shows. What will you do this weekend?
Community Events in Astoria, NY
- Lysistrata Jones: The Ophelia Theatre Group will be performing Lysistrata Jones from now until April 8th. The theatre is located at 21-12 30th Road and admission is $25. The show is a musical about a determined cheerleader that leads a battle of the sexes at her school. This will be the first New York production since the show ended its Broadway run.
- Easter Egg Hunt: ACD Playplace will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on March 31st from 3pm until 6pm at 31-24 38th Street. Admission is $10 and there is a 5% discount off the admission price for siblings. The egg hunt for infants and crawlers will be from 3:30pm until 5pm, and the egg hunt for walkers and toddlers will be from 4pm until 5:30pm.
- Improv Astoria: Improv Astoria will be hosting level one classes now through May 8th! The course costs $295 and takes place at Bohemian Hall (29-19 24th Avenue). The class is open to beginners and experienced improvers that need a refresher. There will be games, improv exercises, and more, as well as a final improv show for friends and family to attend.
