What’s Happening in Astoria this Month?
- Space Jump Live: You can see local bands Space Jump Live and The Repressions at The Quays Pub on September 15th from 9pm until 11:30pm. Admission is free and the show takes place at 45-02 30th Avenue.
- Wine Tasting and Pottery Making: The Brickhouse Ceramic Art Center will be featuring wine tasting and pottery making on September 16th from6:30pm until 8:30pm. The Brickhouse Ceramic Art Center is located at 10-34 44th Drive in Long Island City. You can call 718-784-4907 for more information. Their professionals will show you step-by-step how to create your own piece of pottery while you enjoy wines from across New York.
- Trivia for a Cause: Q.E.D. will be hosting Trivia NYC’s Trivia for a Cause: Emmy Edition on September 18th from 7pm until 9pm at 27-16 23rd Avenue in Astoria. All proceeds raised will be donated to Hollaback! There will be prizes from a variety of local businesses, including Astoria Bookshop, STA Travel, Bronx Brewery, and Schmovie the Board Game.
- Next Steps 5K Run for Autism: On September 24th from 9am until 1:30pm you can take part in a run/walk for autism at Astoria Park (19 Hoyt Avenue North). All funds raised will be donated to groups that help over 2,100 children with autism. Registration begins at 9am on September 24th and the race starts at 10am.
