  3. True or False: We can provide lifelike full dentures.
  4. True or False: Implants can preserve your facial structure.

Answer Key

  1. True. If you suffer from minor tooth loss, we may suggest a bridge. A dental bridge replaces one to three teeth in a row. The prosthetic consist of the replacement tooth/teeth with crowns attached to end each. The crowns are placed onto natural teeth, anchoring the new teeth firmly in place.
  2. True. If you’ve lost several teeth spread out across the arch, we can recommend a partial denture. The replacement teeth have an acrylic base that mimics the appearance of gum tissue, as well as metal clasps that attach to remaining teeth and hold the new teeth in place.
  3. True. A full denture replaces all of the teeth, on either one or both arches. The prosthetic is held in place with natural suction and is removable. You will be able to eat a greater variety of foods and communicate clearly.
  4. True. Implants are inserted into the jawbone, where they bond with the bone tissue and act as tooth root. The implants also stimulate jawbone growth, preventing facial collapse. After an oral surgeon inserts the implant post, we can provide the lifelike restoration to complete the new tooth.
