Community Events in February and March
Comedy Pursuit: It’s the 14 month anniversary of Comedy Pursuit, a show combining stand up and trivia. The show will be at The Creek on February 16th from 8pm until 10pm. The event will be hosted by Bob Hansen and feature Alex Stone, Harrison Tweed, Ben Conrad, Tyler Rothrock, Caitlin Broderick, and more. The winner of the trivia portion gets a free tab.
You Deserve It: Q.E.D. will be showcasing their favorite comics for a stand up set on February 19th from 9:30pm until 11pm. Admission is only $5.
New Works Showcase: Fertile Grounds will be presenting a new works showcase on February 21st from 7pm until 9pm at Green Space (37-24 24th Street #301, Long Island City). The show features five to six choreographers and a discussion afterward featuring wine and cheese and hosted by the Green Space’s artistic director, Valerie Green. Tickets are $12 and you can call 718-956-3037 for more information. You can purchase tickets online or at the door.
Stitchin’ Queens: The Stitchin’ Queens meet twice a week at Panera Bread from 6:30pm until 8:30pm. Members include all types of crafters. You can RSVP by emailing [email protected].
Smashworks Dance Collective and Roots in Revolution: The Green Space will be hosting the Smashworks Dance Collective and Roots in Revolution From March 4th until March 5th at 8pm. Admission is $15 and you can buy tickets online or at the door.
