Does My Smile Need Cosmetic Dentistry?

We often meet with patients wondering if they need cosmetic dentistry. Simply put, we use cosmetic dentistry to improve the esthetics of the smile. We want you to enjoy a lifetime of healthy smiles, but we also want you to never be hesitant to show off that smile. If you have issues with the shade or shape of your teeth, we want to help.

Stained Teeth

If you have discoloration, then you may need cosmetic dentistry. While store bought strips and toothpastes can help brighten teeth, they can’t offer the same level of whitening or results that last as long. However, we have professional teeth whitening that you can use from the comfort of your own home, addressing serious discoloration.

Chipped or Damaged Teeth

A damaged tooth can expose sensitive inner tooth structure. In addition to having a noticeably damaged tooth, you could also be increasing the risk of tooth decay and dental infection. In order to address chipped teeth, we may correct the issue in one sitting with contouring and bonding. We can also place a veneer to fix a broken or chipped tooth.

Malformed Teeth

Malformed teeth mean they are misshapen naturally, which can occur for a number of different reasons. However, using bonding and contouring, we can reshape the tooth, remove pits or grooves in the surface, or even dull overly pointed teeth. Both procedures can be performed together and completed in a single visit.

Misalignment

If you have an uneven smile, we can help. Instead of metal orthodontics, we can use a series of clear plastic aligners. ClearCorrect can address misalignment and improve your smile. The aligners will fit comfortably and be barely noticeable. Treatment typically takes about a year.

Gummy Smiles

If you have excessive gingival tissue, then your gums can make your teeth appear small or uneven. Fortunately, using safe and comfortable dental lasers, the doctor can remove the excess gum tissue and return symmetry to your smile. The technology we use means little to no anesthesia, no need for scalpels or sutures, and a fast healing period.
