July Community Events
- Central Astoria Concerts on the Waterfront: Central Astoria LDC will be organizing this week’s concert on the waterfront. The Devotions, who sang the 1964 hit “Rip Van Winkle”, will be featured. The show takes place on Thursday, July 14th from 7:30pm until 9pm. Admission is free. The show will be held at the Astoria Park Great Lawn, Shore Boulevard between Hell Gate Bridge and Pool Astoria. - 2nd Annual Queens Lit Fest: InspiredWordNYC and PoertryTeachersNYC will be collaborating with Hunters Point Park Conservancy and COFFEED to offer this two-day deceleration of literary arts in Queens. The event takes place at the LIC Landing in Hunters Point South Park (Long Island City, Queens, NY 11101). The festival takes place from 11am until 8pm on both days. Open mic sign ups begin at 11am. - Metrix Jewelry Pop Up Shop: Local artist Lisa Minoli will be featured at the Metrix Jewelry Pop-Up Shop on July 16th from noon until 5pm. Admission is free.
