Community Easter Egg Hunt: On March 26th from 10am until noon you can enjoy a community Easter egg hunt at the Astoria Park and Astoria Heights playground. Over 10,000 eggs will be hidden, including golden ones that win door prizes. Some hunts will be age specific for infants and kids up to 12 years old. Parents can even enjoy a coffee bar. March Sadness Show: The Irish Whiskey Bar on 2848 31st Street will be hosting the March Sadness Show. The Repressions will be there, along with Ben Absurdo and Dolly. There will be music, prizes, and more. The event is free and takes place from 9pm until midnight on March 26th.
Shut.eye: The Secret Theatre will be debuting “shut.eye” on April 1st and 2nd at 7:30pm and April 3rd at 7pm. The show is a symposium on dreams, consciousness, and sleep, featuring music, dance, and interactive technology. The show runs the length of a complete sleep cycle, which is 90 minutes. The theatre is located at 44-02 23rd Street, Long Island City, NY 11101-5000.
Brandon Knows Nothing: Comedian Brandon Collins of Comedy Outliers will be performing a free stand-up showcase at the Rockaway Brewery on April 14th from 7pm until 9pm. The brewery is located at 46-01 5th Street, Long Island City, NY.
